Pictures from Pisek

After a long trip over here and a quick chance to relax, it's down into town for some dancing, following the river in to the centre of Pisek

Well the crowds await, and with Keith striking up, our new boy George is off with a solo effort . . .

followed by the rest of the group as dancing gets underway

and after several dance spots, it's time to relax for two of our ensemble of musicians, Ann and Mike . . .

and for all, food awaits . . .

Pisek Food

. . .  well the Czechs, just like the Germans, do love their sausages.

And now for a trip out to the surrounding region . . .

Tabor

. . . and here in Tabor we have the full group ready to perform, or is it Snow White and her seven dwarfs?

and at last, after a long dancing spot, it's time for a beer or two . . .

Now for a trip out to Orlik Castle followed by a boat trip over to Zvikov

and after a few dances, a request for new recruit George to try a quick Ladies of Pleasure jig . . . now I know that we can sometimes dance very quickly, but George appears intent on vanishing before our very eyes . . .

Orlik Castle

oh well, there's always another day, and another day means dancing in the medieval town of Cesky Krumlov, a world heritage site and very nice too . . .

this spot will do very nicely . . .

Dancing completed, time for a quick look around the historic scenery, both buildings . . .

. . . and people - well yes I have got matching colours and I'm sure Paul likes a flash of leg!!

Sadly, after all that dancing we leave a very friendly place and cross over the border en route back to Wales, let's hope we are lucky enough to return again one day.
