Welsh Feast / Gwledd

The Traditional Welsh Feast was prepared under the expert guidance of Chefs Tom & Debbie Zsigo from the Lion Inn in Trellech.

In order to give the delegates a taste of the fine local produce, the Isca men had been busy before the weekend scouring the local Welsh menu books. And after much debate, the following mouth-watering courses had been expertly prepared before being served by the Isca men:-

   ysbodolau llysywennod ar
   baguette a garnais salad
Llandogo Fish Taster - Sliced Eel
   on Baguette with salad garnish
Stecen cig oen sir Fynwy gyda
   grefi llwgaeron a gwin port
   bras, darparwyd gyda llysiau
   tymhorol
Monmouthshire Lamb Steak
   with rich Cranberry & Port
   Gravy, served with seasonal
   vegetables
Ar gyfer llysfwytawyr:- Coron

For Veggies:- Leek & Caerphilly
   Crown
Tarten afal Morgannwg gyda
   chwstard wisgi Cymreig

As the feast gets underway, the top table fills up with the Morris Ring and Isca officers, together with the guest speaker. Whilst enjoying the opening entertainment, the delegates settle down to wait patiently between courses  .  .  .

whilst the bagman is still on the job .  .  .

.  .  .  and on the end of the top table, Isca's oldest active member, Vic Street - a veteran of London Rodney, West Somerset and Cardiff - and now a regular musician for Isca.

and now it's time for the speeches .  .  . first up Dudley, the Area rep

.  .  .  and after the inevitable short joke, I'd like to propose the Loyal Toast.
