Isca Morrismen Tradition
Charitable Contacts

Every year in the run up to Christmas, the Isca Morrismen perform a traditional Gwent Mumming Play raising several hundred pounds in aid of a variety of children's charities. As an example, a couple of years ago for each  of our performances the side was delighted to be associated with CLIC. After Christmas, a presentation to the charity of all the money raised, plus an additional donation from the side, took place in Brynglas House in Newport.

CLIC is a national charity set up around twenty years ago to tackle Cancer and Leukaemia In Childhood. The charity was created by parents and doctors and has developed a unique range of services providing practical help for children and their families and supporting innovative research into cancer and leukaemia.

Every service provided by CLIC is paid for by public donation and each year the charity raises over £3 million to improve the lives of hundreds of children and their families. Further details of CLIC can be found from contacting the charity at their headquarters in Bristol on 01179 248844 or through their local contact Bob Harris on 01594 564516.
