Isca Morrismen Tradition - Mari Lwyd

Over the last few years we have been privileged to be a part of the local revival on Twelfth Night of the Mari Lwyd (or Grey Mare) which starts from the Star Inn at Llanfihangel Tor-y-mynydd and visits several of the local houses in the village before returning to the pub to conclude the evening..

At the start of the night the Mari is prepared for action:

The performers regale the occupants outside the old rectory:

Meanwhile the Squire warms up whilst Vic entertains the assembled multitudes with a few tunes.

Finally it's all over and the Isca Morrismen refresh their throats after their numerous song spots.
