Wednesday Evenings from 7th November 8 p.m. St Gabriel's Church Hall, Clomendy Road Old Cwmbran NP44 3LS

During the Autumn and Winter period the side only appears in public at a small number of discrete events including Mumming, Mari Llwyd and Wassailing as well as some Morris Dancing. Our Events page is kept up to date with all activities and full details of any appearance are usually shown just before any event.
The period from now until the end of April is very important to the side and it is when we concentrate on learning and improving our dancing repertoire. For the next few months we concentrate on our new recruits, both dancers and musicians.

So for those amongst you who would like to join us:
Do you enjoy having fun in sociable and convivial surroundings?
Have you got the bottle to try something new?
Do you have trouble knowing your left foot from your right?
Would you like to join us on our foreign adventures?
Would you like to have fun entertaining others?
Can you cope with this vigorous and rewarding leisure activity?
Are you prepared to hand on living history to others?
Do yourself a favour and try some light and enjoyable exercise.

Our practice venue is fairly easy to find and is just above St Gabriel's Church which sits on the crossroads. After practice we travel around 200 yards from St Gabriel's Church Hall - From the hall walk down the road 50 yards to the crossroads and turn right into Wesley Street - our after practice pub is Mount Pleasant Inn which is about 150 yards on the right just above the road. There are usually 2 well kept real ales available on handpump and a very warm welcome from this local community pub and is listed in the National CAMRA Good Beer Guide.

Do come and see us at some stage and if you have a liking for tradition then you will be made very welcome. For those amongst you of either sex who enjoy a drink and would like to keep fit then you will be ideal as a dancer.

If you are a musician of either sex who enjoys folk music, then again you will be well received, so whatever instrument you play, provided that it is portable, come and join us and learn our music. Come along and we'll ensure that you enjoy yourself and hopefully come back for more as we tour our area over the summer months.

If you require any more information then please check our Contact and Feedback page for our current officers telephone numbers or email us at our address: Enquiries 'at' Isca-Morris.com. We are a lively bunch and travel a fair bit with our activities, both in the UK and Overseas, so come on - contact us today and join in the fun, you'll not regret it!
